This year has not been kind to us, and we are all aware of it. We all have had difficulties motivating ourselves to keep on going, regardless of the chaos ensueing around us. In our own ways, we have had troubles at every step of the way. Now that it is November, we are one month away from 2022. And it is pretty scary, since this year went away so quickly. We do not know what the future holds for us. You may feel pressured to get back on track like how it was before the pandemic. You may feel pressured to climb even higher or push yourself.
So I am here to remind you that, with 2022 almost upon us, you do not have to be hard on yourself, go easy! We all have been through some sort of trauma throughout 2020-2021. So give yourself a break, let yourself breathe! Show yourself some self-compassion. And to help you give some hope of a brighter future, here are the good things that happened this year throughout the globe:
1. 3500 endangered gorillas were adopted in 6 days, by Reddit investors.

2. China has finally gotten rid of malaria

3. Misogyny has been officially categorized as a hate crime in England and Wales

4. Support for plastic ban has increased, as 77 countries around the world announced full or partial ban on plastics

5. Mental Health is now louder than ever!

Overall, many things happened in the span of two years, which without doubt has changed our lives for the upcoming years. Some good and some bad. The job market has been booming after the economy healed itself, countries around the world have made deeper commitments towards climate change and come up with different and effective plans. While our minds may be stuck at how we have lost two years of our life in this pandemic, I hope this article helps spread some positivity and hope to people around the world, that the world is healing and coming around to a new ‘normal.
So please do go easy on yourself, everybody is healing like you are!
It is the little things in life!
“Despite difficulties, always keep optimism. ‘I can overcome these difficulites’. That mental attitude itself will bring inner strength and confidence.”
